The official roster on the Mortal Kombat site has left a few spots locked as special content, but the lineup for the core game has been revealed, and these are the characters who we sadly won't be playing any time soon. We're left to hope that NetherRealm will bring at least some of these characters back for future DLC. Most fan favorites who have been a part of the Mortal Kombat world since its inception were generally considered safe, but not everyone made the cut for the latest installment.
